Ok maybe someone can answer this I think it won't work but you tell me. I have 1 DVC Sub and I have 2 amps can you hook each amp to each voice coil? or am I just crazy:crazy:

I wouldnt do it unless I had an O-Scope to be sure the gains are matched exactly.

But yes, it can be done, and is done relatively frequently...

From what I've read the amps should be strappable if you do this. You can use not strappable amps and hook an amp up to each coil, but you have to do more than just set the gains the same. LP/HP should be set the same as well. i did it and fried a sub becuz one amp was new and other was just crappier than the other and the coil came unraveled

I would say definitely make them of same quality or even same model as well.

if you want 3000-4000 watts you'll need a pair of amps that produce 1500-2000 watts, which will cost some cash. prolly a pair of pg tantrums or crossfire vr2000D, but honestly i don't think you need that much power

yeah it only took two jbl bp1200.1 to blow the 18 i have 4sale the amps on two audiobahn 10's were crazy loud (also blew them though)

i suggest buying another sub of the same kind
