1 RE SE 15 Ported, Or 2 RE SE 15's Sealed?

I got 2 15" RE SE D4's, And orion 1200D, And a Kicker 750.1 for substage.

Inside speakers will consist of ID CTX65CS, and OEM's off of a 4002 @ 2 ohm's.

Keep in mind my electrical system is a 70a alt, Optima redtop, 0 ga Big 3, 0 Ga power.

Im wanting to know what setup i should run.. 2 sub's, off the 1200D in 2ft^3 SEALED @ 1 ohm, or..

1 sub, off the 750.1, Ported in 4.0 cuft @ 34hz, at 2 ohm's?

Im wanting it to sound good, But also get loud at the same time.

I guess the single box would be bigger then the sealed box anyways, due to it being the same size as my sealed box, plus port area.

Only thing im worried about. is the 70 amp alt trying to provide 160a [Max], for the 2 orion amp's.

But, If i sell all the equipment, I could probably come up with $225 for each amp, And atleast $250 for the subs.. and go a differnt route.

Go with the 2 15s sealed. SEs do awesome in sealed boxes, so i'd go the route of more cone area/power.

 

Do u just have a the single red top?

Yes for now i just have a single redtop. Guess ill put the 750.1 up forsale. and see if i cant get an Alt, or atleast a yellowtop for the trunk.

I was kinda wanting to sell it all, And go with a TeamPSI / RD audio heavyweight single 18, and a nice sized amp. But i guess ill give the SE's a shot.

Ur gonna have to do sum major upgrades to your electrical.... Cost of that sub... 3k+ watt amp... Wiring... etc.

You're prolli looking at $3k+ at least to put together that whole system. Look into Atomic at the same time as RD, very similar products for a much lower price.

ive seen 2500.1's for 330 shipped [i could get 450 out of my amp's.]

Then i could get a sub for around $300.

Then an alt would be aroudn $300.

So thats only a grand..

I think imma just sell the 750.1 for a profit, And throw a yellow top in the trunk on my current system.

what size box, and how many watts is that 1000d putting to the sub? wat freq should i set my lowpass at, sealed?
