Okay, my friend is trying to put together a SPL build with two RE SX 12's and he needs an amp or two. Thing is, he want to keep the amp part under $600. I know of a few amps, but wanted some more input on what he should get, and also, whether or not to just get one amp that puts out ~2000watts RMS or to get two 1000watt amps.

Anyway, he has a budget of $600 for the amp(s), wants it/them to be brand new, and wants the RMS rating to be real world power and not some big number that is never gonna happen. And of course, low THD....

I would use use just one amp, makes everything easier to wire etc...

I have a used RD Audio 1750.1 that does 1750 watts at 1 ohm. Its a great amp, PM me if you want more info...

got a memphis MC2000d for sale for around $400 shipped (someone else is selling the same amp and asking like $550). depending on your coils its somewhere around 2000-3000 RMS 2ohm and 1ohm, PM me
