I was just planning on putting (1) 13W3V3 (Sealed Enclosure) in the Trunk of my 06Mustang!

Will this be enough or will I regret not getting the twin? I currently have the Shaker 500 but that will be replaced shortly with an ALPINE CDA-9885 HU and 4 Polk MMC 650 6.5" Speakers.

Im not looking to rattle my teeth loose, I just want some good solid bass. Im looking for SQ

If I get the one JL Sub should I get the 500/1 amp or the 300/2v2?

Thanks for the input

a single 13 w3 can take a 500/1 but it would be wasted money on such a large amp on it,,, so 2 13 w3's woul be a good power match.

but if ur gunna soend the money for 2 13 w3's

screw that and get one jl 10w6 in a ported box, or a 12 w6 in a sealed box, wichever u prefer, on a jl 500/1 and u will have the cleanest bass u could ask for,,

i have had personaly experience with a 13 w6 on a 500/1 in a mustang and it was awesome not teeth rattling bu the best b4 u got to that def. so i would recomend 1 w6 over 2 w3's

I was real happy with the sound of a single SS Exact 12 (1.25 sealed)on 700 watts in mine, but sometimes it needed more output. Offroad pipes and longtubes made for a headache with the windows down.

It can, but the sub will being pushed to it's limits. Depending on how hard it's pounded longevity could be compromised. Two 12W3's will be at home on the 500/1. That's what i had in my previous set-up, ported.

If you're gonna run one sub on a 500/1, I also recommend you get a 13W6. It's recommended power range is right at 500W rms. I'm running this in a ported enclosure built to JL spec and couldn't be happier. Dam good out put and tight, smooth, articulate bass.

Thanks for your input, your posts are very informative.

Love your install by the way. So thats a 13W6 you have pushed by that 500V2? Did you install a power cap?

I want a similar setup, I was thinking more along the lines of a 10W6 but probably the 12W6..seeing that I already have a nice 12" sealed box (1.25)

I listen to more Rock than anything so I really want that tight, clean hard hitting bass..

Im more concerned with getting top notch Wiring Including some Premium RCA's, should I get the 1/0 Amplifier Kit, Streetwires have a great package for $90?

Ive done the whole Flea Market thing and now its time for the good stuff seeing I will have my car for at least the next 5-7 years.

I dont want to spend 450-500 on ok stuff when I can get the best for around 650, meaning just the Sub and Amp!

I also have 4 POLK MMC650's 6.5 inch coaxial loudspeakers with external crossovers.

That JL 300/2 will be plenty for those 4 speakers right?, the RMS rating is 80watts, should I go with a 4 Channel Amp instead giving me 100watts RMS for each Channel?

Sorry about the 20 questions, I really appreciate the time you take to help me
