1 ohm stable

if an amp is 1ohm stable and you go through it then you would have 1-More Power:) 2-More Distortion:( and finally less dampin:(
2) but still 1% or less, which is fine for a sub

finally) yes, but damping is subjective - having a sub system with 100 or 200 DF isn't a requirement for good SQ

Not to jack his thread, but are kicker amps stable at 1 ohm? the specs don't say so but has anyone had success doing it?
Depends on which amp. I ran my zx750.1 @ 1 ohm for around 2 weeks. I handled it fine I guess, but it became much more power hungry, got a little warmer than it did @ 2 ohms, but never became terribly warm.

None of the ZX series amps are 1ohm stable according to kicker. But there have been people who have had luck, you just need a decent electrical.
