1 ohm question

im getting some kicker l7 15" and i was wondering if i should do the dual 4 ohm or dual 2 ohm to get a 1 ohm load.. my amp is stable 2000RMS at one ohm.. i was told to do the 4 ohm.. is that correct?

If you get 2 dual 4s, your options are series for a total load of 4 (8ohm each), or parallell for a total load of 1 (2ohm each)

If you get 2 dual 2s, your options are series for a load of 2 (4 each) or paralell for load of .5ohm (1each)

Dual 4 wire to 2 or 8 ohms, so two subs would wire to 1, 4 or 16 ohms. Dual 2 wire to 4 or 1 ohms, so two subs would wire to .5, 2 or 8 ohms..

leaves a good option to add another dual 4 sometime if you want (wire to 1 ohm)

that is correct(8 and 16)...I failed to put those additional ohm loads as very few people have enough power to run at 16ohms or 8
