1 ohm or 4 ohms?

Run them at 1ohm. Get some test tones, test at all tones and see if the amps go into protect or not. If they do, rewire to 4 ohm, if not stay pimpin. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

So if your all saying run them at 4 ohms cuz 1 ohm will burn them up, then in fact your pretty much saying box rise it totally irrelevant in real world situations, which was basically my question as to wether I should account for that in my wiring

Run them at 4 ohms. Box rise isn't going to change the fact that these amps put out the same power weather or not they are in 2 or 4 ohm. All 1 ohm will do is cause the amp to run out of spec. possibly damaging the amp. You will not get any more power from the amp trying to run these at 1 ohm.

box rise really doesnt apply on music, when playing multiple frequencies at the same time, which is what music is, your impedance can actually drop. jacob from sundown laid everything out in a post on the SSA forums, if i can find it again ill post it up here.

long story short. dont rely on box rise in a daily system.
