correct me here.

since i have a stock electrical (2001 Grand prix) plus big three. running an amp at 1 ohm will put more stress on my electrical than running one at say 2 or 4 ohms?

if you are talking the same amp then yes.....

well im currently looking to run 2 12" Fi Qs with either a hifonics BXI2006D or Bxi2608 (im drawn to Hifonics other amps are not out of the question)

the thing is i have a stock alt and a regular battery. plan on just getting an extra battery to put in the back.

any ideas on if i would be able to run either? or am i gonna need to downgrade since its an older car (175,000 miles) and HO alt is out of the question.

I'm running a 2607 @ 2 ohms on a single yellow top and stock alt (60 amp i believe), does great. Voltage dips into low 12's rarely but usually manages to stay in the 13's
