I have two jl w6 12" dual voice coil 4ohms.

If i parallel both? they are at one ohm or 4 ohm

i have a brutus bxi2006d 2000wattsrms@1ohm

so many people tell me bout one ohm not beign stable so im really wondering about other people who have one ohm and a certain setup or previous experience or thoughts on whether this setup will be a good one and one that will not shut the amp off or fry the amp and so forth or i can play for like 1 hour or more or how to do it right so its good.....so far car places around here say im ****ed unless i run it at 4 ohms!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fro.gif.c695f1f814b01c4ad99fe7f8cccadd29.gif

if the amp is 1ohm stable then you can run the subs at 1ohm....who ever told you other wise is an idiot. wire all the vc's in parallel.

they're probably telling you to run at 4ohm so you complain it's not loud enough and they can try and sell you anothe amp.

that is a 1 ohm stable amp just make sure you keep a look at how low your voltage drops //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

How would i check my voltage?
With a DMM (digital multi-meter)

or what does voltage involve or influence when running my amplifier?
Your average car audio amplifier is designed to operate at its best when fed between 12.0 and 14.6 volts DC current or thereabouts.

If your vehicle does not have a sufficient charging system to maintain the overall voltage at 12.0vdc or above the amp will either struggle incredibly trying to create the output it is designed to create but doing so with an insufficient current input. This can eventually toast the amp as it strains more than its tolerances allow for and premature unit failure will be the sad result.

Either that or it will simply throw itself into protection mode and refuse to come out of hiding until you make the necessary charging system upgrades...

Thats why I love my Zed built amps, built in regulated power supply. The amp will put out the same power from 11-15volts

Take a DMM, put the positive lead on the positive input cable on the amp and the ground lead on the ground input on the amp.

Turn the dial on the DMM to DC volts (a 'V' with a straight line over it)

See what the meter reads.

Done.

I love my cadence... i dont know how but they claim regulated from 11-13.8 above 13.8 and you gain more output
i love my A7....95% effiency...gets as loud as a hifonic hercules XX @ 1ohm and only 1/2 the wattage and less then 1/4 or the power.

hifonics are power hungry amps.
