after repeatedly switching rcas, and messing with the audiocontrol active 3 way x over and trying everything else i can think of i am at the point where i believe 1 channel of my amp is bad, not dead, but only providing 30% of the output of the other channel?

its 1 of the subwoofer outputs, i also noticed my midbass spider is half torn from the cone, and am wodering if this may have damaged the channel 70%

confused???

is it possible for 1 chanel of a 6 channel amp to go 70% bad?

single hu rca - audiocontrol 3 way active x over, tweets 2chnls, mid 2 chnls, midbass 2 chnls (1 channel faulty)

ideas? thoughts?

I have never heard anything liek this to be remotly possible.

It might compelty fry or not. Check speaker connection level, maybe the speaker is dual voice coil, and one plug came off messing up the impedence and the amp is going nuts.

But there's a very little chance what you're saying is real. Unless I'm a dumbass and some1 can prove me wrong but I don't think this can be.
