Ok I am in the market for new amp(s) and I am trying to decide what to get. The speakers I currently have in mind are the HSK 165's but I may decide on something else. Mainly Macrom is on my list as my local dealer that I love to do buisness with carries Macrom. They are a smaller privately owned shop that actually knows what they are doing so I try to support them as much as I can even I can get stuff cheaper online. I also might consider the mille line. I also have the mentality to have more power then required to have some head room for cranking it up or upgrading later if I ever desire too...
So the question is how much power should I give them? 150wrms each or 200wrms? or go crazy and give them 300wrms? I get these numbers from the follwoing amps that I am considering.
PDX-2.150
PDX-4.150 (with 2 for rear fill)
PDX-4.100 bridged (200w with PDX-2.150 for rear fill)
PDX-4.150 bridged (300w with PDX-2.150 for rear fill)
I am not fully decided yet on rear fill... I have my M-Class 6x9's that I could still put there but I am currently only running some PR 6.5's in the front and I am not really missing the rear fill...
Oh I am also not dead set on the PDX amps I just like them and have heard good thigns about them and they would mount really nicely in the stock amp location of my car (07 MGM next to the spare tire)
