Whats a better SPL sub with a fair amount of SQ? This will be going in a 99 Ford Expedition so I have a good amount of room for a large ported box. Also would 1000 watts be sufficient for the Type X? Or do you guys think I would be happier with (2) 12" Type R's?

from what i've read and experience with my type x, is that it is more SQ oriented. 1000w would be fine on a single x

If you want just loud bass i would use your money on 2 12s instead of a single sub setup.
