1-2 steet wall car help

Wanting to build a new car for comps. Been away from the heavy stuff for awile. Stuff I already have. 6 MA hk4000ds and a VW golf. Would like to compete in the street 1-2 wall. Would a couple 15 in a horn style enclosure work? Thinking of getting something like APXs or similar. I do have several 3hp motors. Would they work to have some subs built?

Im a Ma Audio fan all the way. But I will have to say this. Thoses amps will not help you in a street class. Mabye a super street. Class were you can use 16volt setups.

Im my humble opinion MA audio sucks. The day someone does sick # with MA audio I mihgt change my mind untill then stick to proven subs.

I have to agree. We use to run the Visonik version of this amps in a extreme 1-2 car and they really don't come to life till you get them up around 16V. Believe me not hating or anything cause I still have a few laying around and run them in a few friends cars.

I would think in a extreme car you would be using 16 volt setup anyways.... Yes you are right they are okay at 12 volts. But extremely shine at 18-20 volts.

We tested on 14V before modding them to take the 18V input.

Just their amps. Never even seen one of their subs in person. Can get a pr of AmericanBass VFL400.1s for a good price. Just already have the MA's and I'm trying to keep the cost below $3500 for right now. Would these be a good amp to try. Mark hit a 160.9 with them and a couple BTL's in a suburban last year. So I know they can supply lots of power at .5ohm

The HK line is the top of the line equipment MA makes, which most teenagers can't afford.So they buy the lower end stuff blow it up, then say all there products ****,when it was there own fault!

Anyone who has ran the HK's or visonik or cliff design will tell you that they aren't they most effecient power but they put out.

Do some homework and you will see quit a few of these products are ran throughout the DB circut.

in my personal test, in my garage, on my own TermLab, my Orion 2500d was stronger than the MA4000D I had. And its supposed to be 1500w stronger than the Orion... did it like they do in Street class.

Probably due to ineffecincy.The HK's **** goobs of current compared to the 2500d.Probably half the current.What was the impeadance rise?What kind of power did you have?
