1-2 steet wall car help

if they are modded... honestly i've heard they are rated @ 2 ohm, some say 1 ohm, but if you want to bump up the voltage or drop the impedence you need to mod the board

Yeah it'll take it.But you better have some batteries to back it.They have been known to run .7 daily and .5 for burps.2000lade ran his at .33 on music and seen smoke ,but it may run a burp that low?I run mine at 2ohms daily and see around 1800-2000 after impeadance rise and all.Drop it down for burps though. And 16v is where these will be the most effective as they draw a shit load of current!

That should be enough! As for the mod its not really a mod,its more of removing protection from the amp so that it will play till it dies basically.I run mine at 2 ohms right now on a pair of 12's doing mid 40's at 40hz and it gets pretty **** loud.If your just going daily you could get away with 1 ohm without modding it.But probably not .5 without it going into protect.

actually my amp was the 802sx which has been known to drop lower in ohmage. but personally the 802sx woulda been fine burping at .33 ohm all day at 18v BUT not playing music and i found that out first hand frying 2 amps. but they were just sitting around. they put out some serious power when they did play. i played music on it for a little bit before it popped. if u run 18v the HK amps are great for the price. but on a 12v system they **** nuts for the price haha.

That's right you had the high current model. Now its on to sundown right?

Either way the HK line is powerful and if you have a budget they will have a great dollar to watt ratio.

Well after looking around. Think I'm going to try Audioque. 2_HDC 15 and 4 of the 2200 amps. Good power at 14v and if I want to move up in class next year I can get 4 more and strap them. So what is the best way to design a spl wall/box. Know I want to get as close to my car res, freq. Do I find that after most of the wall is built. Figured it would go down with the mass of all the wood and steel. Is it better to weld a steel frame to the car and than bolt the enclosure to it?
