1/2 ohm stable amps

im running 1501bd on 2 T2 12's dual 2ohms now. was looking at the vx2200. but would rather have amp that stable at .5 ohms. what are some? like orion 2500D, vx220 or others??thanks

I have a modded Orion 2500d that I run @ .5ohm all day long. Doesn't get hot at all. It performs as well as it would running @ 1ohm. It's for sale. $500/shipped (if paid before Thursday, if not, sold locally).

Bought it off of Mike from Team Phat Hertz already modded. It runs @ .5ohm perfectly fine and takes a lot of voltage. I don't even think you need to mod a 2500d to run it @.5ohm

no, i think all the mod does is raise the input voltage to 16v

Yeah same here. I think any 2500d can run @.5ohm all day any day.

Ok im jus going to run my pair of SX's at .5 an ohm and see how they like that wit the gain down. hopefully i will be getting my amp back here in the next week or two

If you are running the T2's ported, after impedance rise, you will not see a load below 1 ohm in most cases. And the Orion's are known for operating fine down that low daily in any case.

So the 2500d is a good choice if you can find one.

No it can also let you run a lower impedence.

Orion can run .5ohm, but dont know about running it daily.
