1 18 inch kicker solo vs. 6 kicker solo-baric l5

I no this may not be in the right section, but I was wondering what you guys think. I got 6 12 inch solo-baric l5's in a 85 caprice being pushed with a hifonics bxi 2006 at 1.33 ohms. The shit is loud. But do you guys think if I got 1 18 inch solo x being pushed by the same amp, would it be louder or just keep what I got.

take the 6 twelves over the eighteen, oh and you might wanna consider another amp because that hifonics probably only put out near 1800 watts at 1 ohm.

The rms on the Solo x 18 is 5000 watts so that wouldnt work.

The rms on you 6 twelves together would be 3600 watts so either way your underpowering and your hole system is gonna be a waste of time and money. So if your gonna use that amp your gonna need 2 minimum for either setup period.

and im gonna guess he doesn't have the electrical upgrades for that either...this is what you get when fully unknowledgable people go into a car audio shop with a pocket full of cash.
I got the proper electrical upgrades, was just wondering wht you guys thought on the subject. Thanks for the input.

x2.

I have a feeling that this setup is not working near its potential. 6 12's in the trunk (assuming they're not walled) is too many subs to fit in that little area. I'm sure they're being choked. I would do a single 15, build multiple boxes with different firing options and use some aeroports.

i think that somone with a pair of 12's, the right power, and the right box could get louder than 6 12's choked off in a small box with only 1~2kw.

if i were you. id take out 2 of those 12's and double the power and make a new box.

i bet it might get a little louder.

its about the install, not how much cone area and watts you feed it. DESIGN a box. do some TESTING with it. apply the correct amount of power and you will see results.

how is every noob that comes on here wanting to put in a 5k watt system always has the electrical to back it up, but then they asked the most stupid questions which more than likely proves they dont have the right electrical.
