1 12w6v2 + 500/1 v2?

I'm a car audio noob - will these two play well together? The 12w6v2's rated at 400 RMS, but JL's little chart seems to indicate it can handle 500 indefinitely. This true? Do I ever need to worry about it popping or burning out or whatever they do when they die?

jl under rates there sub a lil bit from my experiences and that jl will LOVE that 500 watts..that version plays sound incredible sound wise and can still satisfy your bass need..

Manville Smith (of JL) said that upto 500 watts, the W6v2 is louder than the w7. I agree, and the w6 sounds better, IMO, it doesn't sound exaggerated like the w7 does. Again, that's my opinion, but still, that combo would be VERY nice for a daily setup.

i have this setup and it hits really clean like mentioned before it is not exagerated it is just right pounds and at the same time sounds really clean with the 500/1 v2
