1/0 Prices Recently

since u guys are talking about wire... when i am looking at options of the same gauge, what should be considered in my decision other than price?
Material:

OFC (Oxygen free copper)

Copper Clad Aluminum

Silver Tinned OFC Copper

Solid Copper Strands

Strand count really only had to do with flexibility... and those with higher strand counts don't necessarily mean more flexible. It also has quite a ibt to do with the jacket. You could also look at jacket material, temperature tolerance, etc, etc...

The cables are not tinned with silver. You have tinned oxygen free copper - tin is silver in color. Silver Plated Oxygen Free Copper is VERY different from Tinned Oxygen Free Copper (TOFC)

TOFC is marine grade - will not oxidize maiking it prime for automotive enviroment. Bare OFC is still exposed to elements and can oxidize over time.

Yea, its kinda funny they wrote that. If it were actual "silver" the cable would be well over $10/ft and would be a very good conductor, silver will oxidze/tanrish too. But silver oxide still conducts electricity while copper oxide, not so much...

You want true gauge also. Who wants to get ripped off?
This is also important. Some companies call their wire 1/0 when in reality the conductor is extremely small; In its place is a thick jacket. One company off the top of my head is Raptor, their kit is more like 3 gauge wire than 1/0.

Then you also have other companies like Kicker and Knu that oversize their wire. Those are the good ones //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i talked to bill, im picky about wiring so im selling all my klm, klear speaker wire, and my krystal rca's.

im going to run kollosus fleks in all grey + karma ss speaker wire + karma ss Rca's for a silver / black greyish look throughout.

should be sweet

Nice, Ill probably end up just getting the KLM cuz I already have to buy a recone and an alt. Wow this upgrade to my setup has really took a bite outta my wallet so far. Ive already spent over $600 and I dont even have a working sub yet lol

I come from a marine environment ( many years building hulls )

What exactly is "fully annealed" wire ? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Just ordered 50 feet of 1/0 and 10 ring terminals from welding supply, sry Knu wanted copper but couldnt afford the Kolassus //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
