Well Ive been looking at 1/0 awg prices lately and it looks like Welding Supply went up recently. Their asking $2.50 a foot, but offer discounts when you buy over 25 and 50 feet. Like a month or two ago it was 2.19 a foot when I bought 40 feet for a friend. Anyway I was also looking a KnuKonceptz wire, I was tossing around the idea of snaggin some of the KLM cable at $1.75 a foot, the only problem is its a combination of Aluminum and Copper but is still rated to flow 250amps of current and holds the same standards as the Kolossus cable at lengths under 20 feet.

Hell of a lot better deal imo compared to $3.25 a foot for the Kolossus. Anyone get a hold of any of the KLM and have any experiences with it. Definately not gonna cop out on wire but if I can save a few pennies then what the hell. I was just gonna order from good ol' welding supply till I noticed the KLM.

I was considering it if its a lot more flexible, otherwise I might just stick with Welding Supply, I just hate running that ****ing wire though lol

I got some in today and plan on doing a run of 1/0 thru my car....I did a thread similar to this about a week ago and everyone said that this wire should take 250amps(as stated), and is ok for just a simple car/amp install

As posted previously, it is Copper Clad Aluminum. however it has been over sized to compensate for the difference in material resistance (copper vs CCA) this image illustrates it quite well Stinger PRO 4 gauge vs KLM 4 Gauge. I do not have any Stinger 1/0 laying around so I cant compare them in a photo.

The welding cable fluctuates with copper costs. I talked with Chris at trystar.com and thats the way welding suppliers do it. I get my wire there cuz there are up to 15 different colors and you can put 50 characters of your choice on it also. Color depends on availability due to they cut up rolls under 500 ft from industrial purchases and sell them in 50 ft rolls. Hyperflex is sweet but I've never ran into a situation that requires that much flexibility.

i use klm 4 gauge and it holds up just fine im runnin a us amps xt4000 on it and does good

cant complain for the price also i thought it was more flexible than my old stinger wire

I saw an old add we ran in CA&E - Kolossus was $1.75/ft! Just like oil, it goes up and down and nothing we can really do to control it. We're all pawns in the global market

Cool well thanks for the info fellas, I guess I'll just see what my budgets like come ordering time and I'll make my decision then. BTW Ill be running a Kicker KX2500
