I need some help on wiring my 1/0 guage power wire...i wanna know where some of you have hid the wire after it goes into the firewall...cause i have a 2002 Impala and the plastic sides that cover the edges of the carpet, where i would normally run smaller guage wire, is too cramped to run such big wire...so where do u guys hide the wire when its a thick wire without it looking funny?

Thanks

you could rerun it under the car and bring it up into the trunk. Plenty of places to attach it to under the car to prevent dragging. Or you can run it under the center console carpet.

supa c are u talking about moreso on the outsid of the car...but when the door shuts it covers it...like on the other side of the plastic trim and rubber door seal?

and if i were to run it under the carpet the carpet would have a big bump in it...i dont exactly want that...

thanks for the quick responses

No, peel back the carpet ( you might have to take out the drivers seat).Just put it next to the frame under the seat frame and you wont see it.

hrrmm... why all this trouble to run power wires.

I didnt have this problem.. heh..

gotta love having the battery in the trunk

i think what they are saying is take the plastic trim piece off of the door jam--lift up the carpet and you wil see what they are saying. most cars that i've worked with have a place where the cars wiring is already running(like the brake lights and turn signals)--your power wire should fit in there too.
