08 super duty console

Ok finally getting started on this thing I have been building in my head for the 11 months sense I bought my truck.

Kinda have an issue as I was not aware there was some sort of control box underneath the steel box that was sitting there. My original plan was clamshell isobaric. Many said downfire them but I can't see me getting good sound with little room for the air to go underneath, or at least not any kind of equal dispersion. Does it not matter?

Got some progress. I really don't see anything other than isobaric working out for me here

Maybe skip the spray foam and poly fill around the tube.

I ditched the used kickers and got myself a 2 ohm 500w RMS JL audio 10" driver.

I got 2 JL 8's at first but I wouldn't be able too place them like I wanted so instead of butchering my box I upgraded the sub.

I think I will be happy now

I'm getting there. I should be finished building tomorrow. I just did a roof on an upholstery shop and the guy said he would vinyl it for me for a hundred bucks. Think I'll take him up on it.

The console itself is 2.4 cubic feet. The speaker box portion at the the rear is .63 cubic ft-ish

in a sealed box?.. lol... no, you'll eat up airspace and you're under 1ft3
