08' Silverado: My Bass Sounds Terrible

I have an 08' Silverado with 2 Almani 12"s under the rear seat. On some songs, the bass is pretty clean, but on others it sounds like everything is just rattling.

I've done every adjustment on the equalizer I can think of. I have very little air space so I know I cannot get huge bass, but I expect it at least to be fairly clean. Is there anything I can try to make it sound better?

maybe its your enclosure. is it sealed? ported? whats the tuning?

its a custom fit box. i'm not sure what company it is from. the guy that installed everything ordered it.

i'm about to go talk to him and see if he can give me some advice.

as for the equipment, he recommended almani. he said they were a new company, but made pretty decent stuff for the price.

I went to see the guy and it was the enclosure.

He says it needs reinforced. It is one of those cheaply made boxes. He would put pressure with his hand on one of the seams on the box and the rattling sound would stop.

lol, take it out yourself and glue that shit with some liquid nails and a clamp.

Yeah. Next time you are thinking about getting subs, ask around on here first. You'll get a lot of dick responses, but a lot of good ones. You could have done that install yourself for much much cheaper, and it wouldn't have been to hard.

that is what you run into with those custom boxes for the back of trucks. the only people that make good ones for it want $500 for the box.

$700 was for the subs, amp, and box. I could have saved probably $100 or more on that site (i've probably spent 10 hours looking at that site before purchase), but I wanted to just go ahead and let one guy do everything so if anything screws up i can go to him.
