no no trunk rattle i had my sunglasses in the cup holder. its sealed very well using silicone and latex caulk along with wood glue inside the box. phone sounds different on the roof vs the window as well

it is the clarion 685maxbt cheaper than the w505 but a lot of the same features give or take a few

spenman, the setup looks awesome. I really like that box, i wish I had the creativity/skills to do something like that. As far as the alternator goes, I'm working with someone at PowerMaster to design a HO alternator for the new model Altimas (it'll be a 200a). They're using my car for the testing and hopefully we'll be done soon. Would you be interested in one once we get finished? I can send you the info once we have it ready, just send me a PM or something.

thanks for the appreciation! i think i have seen you on another forum when i googled the topic. 200 amp would be perfect any higher is unneeded for my situation. id love any info on it as far as price and if its a drop in or is it gonna need special modification. lets not forget im 17 and have 2 parents freaking out about me tearin up a brand new car. when might this alt be available?

I haven't found out about pricing yet (I'll get mine for near $0 since they're using my car as the guinea pig //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif) and it should be a direct bolt-on but if not, they won't make anything that'll require you to f-up your car permanently (adapter plate or something). As soon as I find out more info I'll let you know.

Thats really a fantastic install! I love the shapes and the contrasting materials you chose (the suade and the carbon vinyl. Have you though about closing off the side walls with the carbon vinyl too? That would give your install just a bit more punch and make it look more complete.
