Yeah its south florida the build was about a week ago and it was like 85 degrees lol. Also the truck is my best friends the 911 turbo is my dads and the mazda is obviously mine and we already had the pulleys in the ceiling for something else so I figured that I would give it a try because the thing is so **** heavy and thanks for the kind words

There is a brace just below the basket that you cant really see otherwise I was worried it would fall lol but the box has 1.5" baffle and the screws are huge. The truck is a tacoma but its the biggest one toyota makes so its on the tundra frame.

Yeah the problem with mounting it before I put the box in the trunk is it in no way would have fit and I wouldnt have been able to put the false floor in as well also for anyone who is interested the box is 1.2 cubes (you cant see the actual box its behind a false front)

or getn good sq and dont get me wrong good set up, but ur not usin the sub for its full spl potential,, im guessin thats not what u were goin for though, let me know what it meters at (dB's)

Thats a very nice install, much better than mine. How does it sound, the only thing I don't like about inverse mounting is that you get mechanical noise from the sub that isn't noticeable when it is mounted in the box, it is much cooler looking however.

u get mechanical noise when u distort a sub,

he is going for sq so he nows how loud to play now without any distortion, that is a smart idea,

Not necessarily, there is some noise made by the spiders flexing and also because of the size of the gap. You will obviously get mechanical noise if you play it too loud and bottom it out.

Wow I thought this thread would get buried but I guess I was wrong anyway the biggest problem I have is crazy voltage drop (2600w on a stock 90amp alt). Also every time I try to push the sub hard I start to smell it and im wondering why? Ive heard that the new xxx has low thermal power handling but I dunno if its something else.
