I know his trusted man lol. why you think I got it from him?
I take it you guys like kissing ***.
no they just like have FACTS before coming to conclusions. Your inability to answer simple questions makes everything believe that the chance of you screwing it up is much MUCH more then 80.

Any answer to the above question from Xluben?

this box is upfiring, i keep reading the plans over, and cannot find anything wrong at all. the port and the sub are facing up, so if the 11x17 piece goes in first, then the 17x17 piece for the L, how is that wrong?

don't just look at the box do that math.
see where he screwed up. the port lenght and front cover.
Can you explain in greater detail?

The top cover assumes a 3" wide port. You get this by dividing the 51" of port area by the inside width of the box (17")

The port length add as so:

1" side

+ 11"

+ 17"

+ 1" on the turn

+ .5 " you add because of the turn (commonly done)

------

30.5 inches. I don't see what the problem is.

top should be where the port goes. it needs to be 4" shorter than the bottom to allow for the port opening.

port 1 should be attached inside the top piece (so that the port is 3" the whole way).

but that is gonna make the top piece end up 1" higher than the rest of the port opening.

i think 80 should have spent a bit more time on this design, it's not really wrong, but just kinda confusing and half assed.

The way I understood, the port 1 should start under the right side of the port opening. that is the only way to get to 30.5"

I agree, the pic does ****.

yeah, that is mentioned in my other post, that is also necessary to keep the port width 3" the whole way.

BUT putting the box together like that will make the top piece sit higher than the other three walls of the port opening.

How so? Is the left side too short? I need to re-examin pic to be sure.
