06 L7 15 on 2000 watts

the reason i ask about running 2000 watts to the l7 15 is a local kicker dealer were i live has a cvx 15 running on a kx 2500 and the sub takes the power like a champ

well if a cvx is a round l7, then why wouldnt the l7 take it like a champ aswell:crazy:

Subs may take that power for a while, but in the long run (5-6 months down the road) is where you start seeing problems. My friends' directed 12s took twice their rating for almost 9 months and now they are crapped out completely, obviously clipping was part of the case, but so was running more than their rated power. Just set your gains up perfectly and you'll be fine, clipping ****s your subs up, mostly in the long run, but it can blow them quickly too in some occasions.
