Alright I bought my L7s off ebay from cousticwaves who stated my L7s were brand new. The exterior of the subs looks cosmetically perfect, no blemishes or anything. On the underside of the cones however, on each of the 4 subs, there are minor scratches on the underside of the cone and each has a black shiny rubbery glue where the dustcap and cone meet. There is still plastic covering on each of the magnets and no scratches on the mags, but the underside of the cones have some small scratches and that shiny black glue. Is it possible these are refurbs?

Yeah. I mean, is it typical for the underside to have little scratches? All 4 of them do. They are all identical and the outside has nothing wrong with them, they look new.

Thanks for the feedback. It was a long shot but there will definitely be much more powerful subs in the trunk, so clearing it out isn't an option...
