06 L7 15 on 2000 watts

Well if tracey from kicker says it can, then I think thats valid enough for me. He told me several months ago that they would do fine with 2kw, and they have.

Get another L7 and then run the 2k watts. I personally believe 2k will do some damage to the sub. If you set your gains and everything so you're sending a clean, unclipped signal, you're not going to be taking full advantage of 2k watts. You'd be much safer, louder, and better off with 2 L7s off 2k watts if you can do the space. Otherwise, checkout an mtx 1501d, or another solid 1500 watt amp @ 2 ohms. When I called Kicker a while back about L7s (I was either going to do 2 15s or 4 12s L7s), they told me 3600-3800 watts was too much for 2 15" L7s and would do damage obviously. They recommended 4 12s not only because it will be louder, but because it's better power wise. Hope that helps...

i have a directed 1500d running at 2ohms 800 watts this amp is strappable so if i get another that will be 1600 watts that would be good power without taking the chance of sub damage

the 1600 watt number is if i buy another directed amp i have one and if i get a second sub it will run 1100to 1200 watts at 1 ohm is 550 watts per sub enough for the l7
