Just purchased a set of Rainbow SLC230 5.25 comps for the front doors. They are going to be mounted on a 1/4" baffle and the math shows a fit in a 06 F250!

I think the surround will hit the door's grill....

Why the hell does ford use a 5x7 up front anyways,the whole world I thought

I have a 99 but the doors are exactly the same. I have 6.5 components in my front doors. You just need to make a mounting ring (maybe do some cutting but don't remember, did it so long ago) and I mounted the tweeters in the actual door panel (cut a hole).

got pics??? with a ring, you will have to have the speaker mounted on the other side of the door panel...He wants the speaker to fit behind the door panel. I am doing it next week with 5.25's. will keep you posted...

I don't have any pics of them w/ the door panels off but I can get some w/ the door panels on. The 6.5's are mounted behind the door panels but the tweeters are mounted on the panels. Look below for a non close up pic.
