You can't shift an automatic ****** unless it has ... as they like to call it on Top Gear "a flappy-paddle gearbox". Theres no putting it from D1 to D2 to D3. Those people are dumb and it doesnt do anything. I might have been on the gas a bit when I was a little younger, but honestly it was Honda's fault. The 00-02 accord automatics are known to be garbage. They replaced it for free.

Since when can you not? I can't honestly comment on much newer stuff but all the older autos you could. Drop it into D1 or 1 or whatever and it will hold that gear then when you want bump it up to d2 (shouldn't even have to push the little button, just give it a bump.) Keep bumping it up till your in D (overdrive or direct.)

I haven't read the rest of the thread but just this part, so not commenting on anything else.

I must agree sadly I do like the looks of the new SI civics, I just can't get over the interior and the fact that you can't see the hood through the windshield. Otherwise I certainly wouldn't mind a black Civic SI 4-door. Plus anything that is available with a 5 or 6 speed is a big bonus, auto FTL (yes I know I have any auto //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif)

EDIT: After some reading. I too enjoy the digital speedo, I can clearly see how fast the honda is going when I am passing by 2 lanes over lol. Hey look, that guy over there is doing 62mph. Not sure if I would like it in the car though, just too different from my liking.

It has a K20 n00bix. Slightly updated version of the RSX-s motor. New Si has the K20Z I believe, and the RSX has a K20A. Engine bay is a bit cramped but its workable. Not like our engine bays which looks like they stuck a rotary engine where a W16 should go. lol

It has a K20 n00bix. Slightly updated version of the RSX-s motor. New Si has the K20Z I believe, and the RSX has a K20A. Engine bay is a bit cramped but its workable. Not like our engine bays which looks like they stuck a rotary engine where a W16 should go. lol

i sacrifice speed for MPG with the LX but it has saved me a ton of money

A bit before 9k I think. VTEC kicks in around 6k +/- 200 RPM, forgot which. Dynos about 195 WHP and 130-140 tq. Not bad numbers for a naturally aspirated 4. Torque sucks but at least its flat the whole way across.

you can get bigger rims and smaller tires and keep the same mpg

the hybrid uses special tires...so i wanted to keep those also...I had them moved from the factory rims to these....

You are correct. Very cramped engine bay.

They might have been confizzled with the R18

iVtec kicks in at 5800. Eh....Stock Si's usually dyno at around 176-180 whp. I plan to make 260-280 whp.

I have a blue LX 06 with 55k miles on it, manual and love it. It does wonderful on gas. Right now with gas prices it costs 20 dollars to fill up and lasts almost 2 weeks. when gas prices are out the rough it costs 45 dollars which still isn't horrible. they are fun little cars to drive and I love mine. Has plenty of head/leg room and I'm 6'3". Plus I like that you can adjust the steering wheel not only tilting but pulling it towards you. That was pretty cool. I've driven my buddies si and man those cares are so much fun. I wish mine was an Si.
