I'd say no. I honestly wouldn send more than 1600-1800. But eh, I could be wrong. Or just soft.

about 4 cubic feet for a 15" and i think 6 cubes was recommended for the 18 ported.

I don't think it would like the 4k that much, I ran an older XXX off one and it didn't like it.

A buddy of mine is running an Orion 2500D @ 1ohm to his 05' 15" XXX without any issues... Its been on tht power daily for almost a year now.

i have personally reconed a sub from copper to alu and alu to copper. copper handles the heat better for longer listening. the alu is better for burps because it is lighter and faster.

do you have ANY experience in this first hand or just this sub with a copper and this totally different sub with a aul coil?

Im heartbroken cuz I just pulled my 05 XXX-15 out of its box today after leaving it sit for about a month....I thought my wire came loose but it turns out my tinsels melted, its such a disappointment as well, I was only giving it tops tops of 1800 wrms clean power and never let it distort. I had it front firing with fold down seats and could see and hear it very well but it just couldnt handle the power like Ive heard.

I hate to say that Ive been way more impressed with my 12" MTX9500. Ive beat the crap out of that thing in my starting year of car audio with heavy clipping and boost options not to mention a good deal over the recommended rms. watched the sub flex in different dirrections on slowed late night tip (mistake for a very short couple seconds) so many different things and Ive never been able to get it hot or ever smell voice coil. I mean I feel like I should have destroyed this sub and I just cant manage to do it. I treated my XXX a whole lot nicer but I was so disappointed when I had to turn the volume down cuz it would get hot even with the front cold to the touch

on my XXX I was running a 4cu ft box after vent.sub displacement at 30hz on a MTX 92001 provided with a nice clean signal 4v signal. Also anybody know where could I pick up some new tinsels?

and I dont think I could be that nice to it...I want more even with my 2 15's and 4k daily:crazy:
