05 kicker L5 vs. 06 Kicker L7

Would you be able to tell the diffrence between an 06 kicker L7 compared to an 05 kicer L5? Thinking about upgrading but not sure how much louder it would be, help me out!

You're comparing two different level subs, on two different years. The 06' L7 will walk circles around the 05' L5, even if you didn't know the subs it's common sense. "Hey guys, for the new 2006 L7, let's aim to make it worse than an L5! No no, not only that, last year's L5!" Come on, it's not even a comparsion.

Polecate isnt even needed to answer this... I can just say being a previous owner of the 05 l7s, that they cant take anywhere near the power, or abuse of the 06 ones... And thats just on the l7s, let alone comparing them to the l5s..

How much power can the 2006 L7s handle daily? I was thinking about running 2 off a 1501d, should I look into a bigger amp?

Polecat has assured me that they should be okay 2kw daily with the 15s... I havent put that much power to them yet, but will once i get my new amp.... Right now i have 1200 to each, and they are asking for more... Ive burped them various times, and they keep asking for more...

But remember the smaller the box is the more it can handle.

I'm running 1500rms to mine. Takes it like a champ.

I got 2 mono 600 kickers running on 1ohm to two 05 l7 15s and they hit hard but barley even move the subs
