1 XXX 15 Ported or 2 XXX 15's Sealed For Most Output

Okay, as some of you know I was planning on dropping my RE XXX 15 Dual 2-ohm in a 4.5 cu ft box tuned to 32Hz. The amp is a DEI 2400d running @ 4-ohms. So, about 1400 watts @ 4-ohm.

I recently made a "crappy" looking sealed box from my friends scrap pieces of wood. It's probably 2.5 cu ft or so with no polyfill. The output is amazing and I can live with it. Now, what would be LOUDER overall - 2 XXX 15's in a 5 cu ft sealed box with or without polyfill (wired @ 2-ohm on the DEI 2400d - 1200+ to each sub) or one XXX 15 in the 4.5 cu ft box tuned to 32Hz as planned (wired @ 4-ohm on the DEI 2400d - 1400+ watts to the sub)?

Id go with the single sub ported. Im in quite the similiar situation, have a dual 2 ohm 15" XXX, but with a viper 2500. Adding the second sub, and increasing the power from your amp, might force you to make electrical upgrades, if you havent already.

Well, I ran the DEI 2400d amp @ 2-ohm and I have no problem with electrical issues. So, that isn't a concern.

I feel that 2 XXX's sealed would be louder than a single XXX ported. Granted they both have about the same power but the sealed box would yield smaller air space each.

Any other opinions?

I never said I hated RE just that they had bad Customer Service due to the actions of David acting like a child on every post he does on forums. The fact is when he represents the company on forums, his actions reflect back on him. I am not going to go into anymore detail than that. I have my opinion and you have yours just as the other members here have their own as well. Never the less, RE has great products which is what I am looking for. I am not looking for their customer service at this moment. Off Topic. But you were complaining about there CS because you expected them to fix damaged subs that were not within the terms of the warranty. Not the post issue. Squeak brought that up and you shifted you complain to coincide with squeak. Get it straight.

On to the question. Out put will be very close between the 2. For simplicity issues I'de just run the 1 XXX ported.
