04 Sierra ext. rebirth build kinda

So today I got word from CSCStang that my plexi has finally arrived from cherryman so the box will now begin the process of being built..

The Setup

Pioneer avh-4000nex DVD headunit

I installed led lighting in footwells along with the center cubby

Usb1 port mounted between 12v power outputs and the white one in my hand is connected to usb2 and hdmi for video streaming along with a cable jive dock extender... As far as I know only cable on the market that works for data transfer for the iPhone 5-6... I roll with the 6plus

Magic mount magnetic mount for my phone

Basic alpine type s 6.5s coaxial speakers with Rockford tweets up front and 4x6 type s coaxials in the rear doors

Powered by the alpine 445u mini amp hidden up under my dash crossovers set at 120 on amp and 120 on hu

Just got this bad boy in the mail yesterday

Mechman 370a elite

Under the hood

Xs d3400 and knu concepts 1/0 cca wire big three already done

Orion xtr 2200.1d to power these mini monsters

2 sundown x8's d4 will be wired to 1ohm

Gains set with d'amore dd-1

Box is being built over the next few days by the one and only CSCStang... 2cu tuned to 33hz with 28in^2 port area

Plexi was received today for the top and side of my box will be back lit green and painted white interior

Once I get the box I will be staining it a nice mahogany color and poly to seal it with a glass like finish

Will be posting pictures of the box progress as I receive them from CSCStang

1. That truck does not look like a beater to me

2. I would have picked something besides that Orion to power some X8's. Just my two cents

3. Scope>DD1 any day

so you were able to get that cheapo scope to work @adulbrich ? might get one.

good build so far, i have some pictures of the qlogic kick panels installed in my truck, interior is nearly the exact same so you can see what they'd look like.

I did see some dyno's of their OS stuff, and I was disappointed by their actual output

Really??? My 225R is rated 25x2 and made over 600 rms bridged .....

Yes I did, eventually. Had to put the sensitivity all the way down and max out the window view though. Can't imagine setting gains If I get another M4a and strap it for ~14k before rise, lol, May need a legitimate tabletop scope for that.


Hmm, thought the newer stuff was over-rated.

Yea the old school claims to them doing over 1k on a 250 or whatever were complete bogus... But whatever in all honesty some of today's amps do way over rated than what those old schools did... And yea it does over rated I'm pretty sure it's rated at 2200 12.8v so I hope with box rise it will be running the 2200 to the two... But yea they do over rated

You'll be surprised by how much power rise takes away.

Wired at 1 ohm nominal, be prepared for a bit over 1k.

At .5, you may be lucky to get 2k clean. Just letting you know.

T fade gets great numbers for amps when he wires them to .25 for burps.

Well I'm pretty confident in stangs build skills... Fingers crossed for only 1ohm rise that will keep me close to 2k

If you're wiring to one ohm, you'll need a few more fingers to cross, lol

how much port area is that? it's hard to find length to put a long port in these underseat boxes without making them huge

It's ending up being 1.98cu after displacement and 13.26" port area per cube
