03 Expedition Help....

I installed a JVC Head unti but I do not think the factory sub is working. All 4 spakers are working fine. I did not see any extra wires on the wire harness that may be for the factory sub. Sounds like he's trying to power his factory sub with the head unit.

the sub amp is prolly one of the unsued plugs.. you ned to find the remote turn on if you plan on turning on the O/E Sub & Amp..

I guess we need more detail on what your trying todo..

All I am trying to do is install an aftermarket HU and keep the factory amp and sub.

Your wiring kit for your Expedition should have included another plug that has a remote turn on lead, an rca, and a ground. The third plug will remain unused.

i was under the impression that you couldnt run an aftermarket hu with the factory subs on the new Fords. Maybe call Ford and see what they say?

Well, mine's a 2001 so it may be different. here's a diagram of the wiring harnesses that I got from Crutchfield. The bottom one is the one he's missing. They work fine.
