02 Yukon Box Build

Well this is my first attempt at building a box. My dad and i are seeing what we can do pretty much. The box is going in a 02 Yukon for 2 Soundstream Splx15" subs. Im building the box out of 3/4" 7 layer birch. Let me know what you think

This is all that I will be able to complete today since i have to go get another sheet to finish sides and front... but with more bracing to come! Who has ideas on how i should cover it or if i should just stain/polyurethane it???

ive done a few in Stain and they look great, but the end grain doesnt look so good imo

if you have a flush trim router bit so no end grain will be seen from the front, then thats what i'd do.

Finished- sanded, corners rounded off, and installed. im not quite sure whether i want to finish it or not because im happy with the way it looks as of now...but who knows. Sounds tenfold better!

Yeah im gonna get at that hopefully when i get off work... blackberry vid probably just wont turn out well
