02 Toyota Avalon XLS Stock HU ?

A friend of mine has this car and he wants to do an install.. Just an amp and a sub. So i tried to take out his Stock HU to see if he has RCA Inputs and a Remote wire.... Well ran into a problem.. Cant seem to get that mother ****er out. For 1 its bolted on as i can see when i bend the vents for the AC/Heater you can clearly see the HU bolted on.. 2 i can't get that Vent piece off either so im stuck. Lol Any help is appreciated
