02 Silverado Headunit Went Out

Dads stock headunit in his 02' Silverado went out.. trys to play a CD and it ejects the disc and says "Err"... anyone know what this is or how to fix it?

my uncles did it one day, unhooked the battery and let it sit, hooked it back up and its worked fine since

well i just pulled it out and clean it out with an air compressor and it still didnt work.. given i didnt unplug the battery tho.. i guess ill try that.. anyone else?

buy a used on on Ebay or

buy aftermarket.,....easiest radio swap imaginable

as I have an 02 silvy
