00 Maxima - trying to make a decision on a single sub

Hey Everyone,

I haven't really been into car audio for quite sometime now, so I'm not fully up to date on the latest/greatest subs that are available on the market as it seems they are always changing. I've read a lot of information on the various subs that are available now, but I haven't heard any of these subs personally to be able to make a decision.

At the moment, I'm only looking to install a single sub in the trunk for space reasons so I'd like to keep the enclosure size to a minimum. I'd like to have something that is responsive but is still capable of hitting the lower notes well.

Equipment Available:

PPI Precision Power 2100 (Currently on my front CDT components)

PPI Precision Power 275 (Currently on my rear door CDT components)

JBL BP1200.1 (sitting in my room, unused)

I'm looking to either get a single 10" or 12" sub and I'd like to stay in the $200-230 range.

Any suggestions? Also, feel free to suggest getting rid of the JBL and purchasing a different amplifier if needed..

Since it seems to be the thing to do with these type of threads, I might as well plug my equipment for sale like the rest.

I have an brand new 12" Alumapro Alchemy RX that would be a good match for your system...a great combo between SPL and SQL and can take the power too....and it's right in your price range. They go for around $275 on the internet whorehouses. PM for more info and price //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Type X Alpine, SX(groupbuy, but you gotta hurry!), 12w6v2, any of those would work awesome more than likely

The w6v2 wouldnt really use all of that 1200w though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
