The pillars in the Imp are completely rounded and would require some cutting. Do you have any pics?

spot 2 is better than 1. 1 might bring em too close to your ear compared to woofer placement.

a pillars is ideal. maybe try mounting them in the dash where your pillars meet with the windshield and dash. shoot em straight up and they can reflect off the windshield
