0 gauge witholding 300 amps

If 0 gauge wire can withstand 300 amps, will I be in trouble using my xx colossus II? I know it will pull over 300 amps sometimes, but how will that affect my wiring? Thanks. I'm just trying to clear a few things up before I start installing it all.

You'll more than likely be fine, but it NEVER hurts to overdo it. IMO I'd run 2 1/0's or 2/0.

daily or competitions? daily-yes, comp-no. Wire's capacity is like RMS, continuous.

Unless you're doing 30 sec. style comps, you should be fine, look at the guys who run REALLY small fuses that can take more power for a BRIEF period of time.

The right way would be to have sufficient wire, either larger, or more.
