What's wrong with it?

Is the tweeter near your instrument panel? If it is, try moving it up and away to test if it goes away. I get some mad interference from my gauges and everything, the solution was to shield the bottom of the tweeter.

Your problem is the inverter. Unless you get a really, REALLY nice one they don't generally put out the normal 60hz power. It's actually quite a bit more than that. This is why you're getting the noise that you have.

I usually just browse and keep my mouth shut but... holy **** dude throw some insulation on those battery terminals. At the very least, just find some like, 1.5" shrink tube and put it over that. Having those big ol' bars just hangin out there is asking for trouble.

Nice box and cheap cables. Copper is copper, so cable doesn't matter. The only thing extra you get with more expensive brands are shinier cable, more flexible cable, and more meaningless buzz-words stamped on the package.

Considering you can get a used one off eBay for $20-40, they're hard to beat. I had a 1030w, and it did everything I wanted it to do. A friend has a 1230w and it's about the same, just goes lower and a smidge louder.
