Looking for a 5 channel amp

limited help here, but i installed that kicker 5-channel in my buddy's Tige boat and it does a great job running the sub and coaxials. there is another 2-channel kicker powering the tubbies on the wakeboard tower. we found it on circuitcity.com in their "outlet" section just by chance for $230...

    03 Suburban speaker configuration input

sounds good. it'll save a few bucks too. comps up front and coaxial in the rear is how i've done it before in other vehicles, but since there was a factory location for them, i started wondering if i should change it up a bit. if it's not going to help or be worse, i'll skip the idea.

    03 Suburban speaker configuration input

in the not to distant future, i plan to start working on the stereo in my 03 suburban. i have the Blose setup which will all be replaced...the headunit, speakers, sub, amp, etc. the front of course has the 'component set'. the back doors have 6.5s, and there are the tweeters in the far back...

install an amp to facotry H/U - no low level converter

yeah, the basic idea works, it's just not the right way to do it i guess. unfortunately, this amp does not have the low level converter built in like some amps. the PAC adapter should do the trick...just costs $50.

install an amp to facotry H/U - no low level converter

going to get the PAC OEM-GM1416 thing. it is a low level converter that plugs right into the factory harness (in-line with the radio and harness). also has the remote wire connection and fixes the door chime issue.

install an amp to facotry H/U - no low level converter

Worlddre...thanks for the info. that's what i was looking for. he ended up hooking it up and thinks one of his speakers is blown. it sounds like it might possibly be getting too much 'volume'. i'll tell him to go ahead and get the LOC.

install an amp to facotry H/U - no low level converter

just curious, but why would there be less voltage at the amp? the converter is not a power booster, it just converts speaker wire to RCAs....right?

install an amp to facotry H/U - no low level converter

is it ok to install an amp to a facotry h/u without using a low level line converter thing? my buddy is in the process of hooking up a 4 channel amp in his 08 tahoe, with a non bose factory headunit. he's going to run the RCAs from the amp to the headunit by cutting off the RCA ends at the...

    EpicenterDesigns Company Show Truck Build

what is the overall idea/outcome behind the build of the blazer? i always wanted to patch over the rear windows of my 2 door blazer so it looked like a panel truck, then by some crazy act turn the rear from a lift gate and drop tail gate to a single side opening door...like on a panel truck...

    since...

the def techs you listed are more expensive than the B&Ws. you can't loose with either though. different sound, so it's totally what your ears hear. i like B&W, but their higher end stuff starts looking a little too "mod" for me. i don't really need to have a decoration piece of a...
