I believe they are fairly low, like around 2 or 3 volts. It seemed like I needed less gain with my old deck.

Personally I would pick the Alpine, just from the experience of hearing those two subs side by side, except they were in sealed boxes. Plus I have a Type R. :thumbsup

If I move my 12" Type R from a .7 cu ft sealed to a 1.1 cu ft sealed, will I get a big difference in frequency response or loudness? If not, does anyone have any dimensions for a good slot ported box, or should I just stay sealed? Thanks in advance. :thumbsup

Woohoo guys I was just joking about the Jensens, didn't think anyone would blast me for it. Anyways, I am upgrading to the Type S 6x9's for my mustang TazerRE, but I would more recommend getting the custom kick panels from the Virginia Mustang catalog and put some 5.25 components in them.

Definitly a small box, sealed sub. I have the 12" in a 1.0 cuft box and that is a little bigger than what alpine recommends. Putting those in a ported box will kill them faster. Trust us on this one, go sealed!

Woo hoo, I have a whole 450 Rms to a Type R 12, but it has to be one of the top 10 loudest at my school so I'm happy with it.

How do I remove the stereo from the dash of a civic 2002? I need to do an install for a friend but the under-dash of these new civic's is a !@#$%. Any help with this is appreciated, even a walk-through would help!!

MTX isn't a bad brand, in fact their amps are great, just the Thunder 4000 line of subs is terrible in all categories(SQ, SPL, quality of product, blablabla.......)
