hi all, i just installed a 200 amp alternator on my 95' dodge neon. The amp i will be running calls for a 100 amp fuse. i only have a 150 amp fuse. [My 2 local car audio shops didnt have anything over 60 or 80 amps.{guess they are not serious bout car audio}] . Would it be ok to run the 150...

Okay thanks for the replies! I hooked up, the W6 and you were right, i did nothing. so i hooked up my W3 and it sounds like it WANTS to play but is making a high pitched scratchy noise, like the vc has come unwound. do you think if i take it apart i can fix it, as long as i dont cut the vc like...

hey whats up, i have a question. I recently burnt the voice coils up on 2 JL 18"s, one is a W6 and the other is a W3, they are both DVC. I just now got brave enough to open up the W6 and take a peek @ what happened in there. I carefully disassembled everything so that i can put it all back...

just big enough so your 6x9's will fit i suppose. try shaving off a bit at a time. i would still recomment the 6x9 boxes though if you have room.

i would choose a different deck like an alpine (i wish i had one) i wouldn't put the 15's in a bandpass and you will not need another rockford 1000 watt amp, mine puts out almost 2,000 watts @ 2 ohms anyway. see http://www.sounddomain.com/id/justin_s

it costs about $100-150 at the crutchfield here in va and they are not the best installers i know of. just find someone who has a tight system and hooked it up themselve and hasn't blew it up, and let them help you.

if the hole for the 6x9's are too small then, unless you start cutting up the hole--you are probably gonna be better off by getting some 6x9 boxes. i think they are $20 for 2 at walmart, that could have be individually but i dunno. a box on a 6x9 sounds alot better than free-air anyway.

well, i can't tell if it smells funny in the box or on my sub or not because i have undercoating in my box so it smells funny anyway. if the spider is locking up- how do you fix that? i took it out and put it in my car a few minutes ago and hooked it up but it is still not playing. the cone...

hi, i dunno what the problems is w/ my sub but maybe someone does. Currently i am running a RF 1000a2 bridged @ 2ohms i have the DVC sub wired in paralell. I was knocking it pretty hard today and all of a sudden it just like, locked up i checked my amp it was warm, but has never cut off on me...
