    Need Help :-(

Just so you know, that L7 is the perfect sub for that amp. If you were to get a 4 ohm DVC sub, it would wire down to 2 ohms and sound fantastic and blow her away with the bass. My friend has that exact setup in his Taurus, and Pontiacs are excellend acoustically. Get yourself a ported box...

Power wire in 99 Bonneville SSEi

I have been having trouble trying to figure out where to run my 2 ga. power wire from my battery to my trunk. There seems to be no holesin the fire wall to run it because the car was never offered as a manual. Any other places people have had success? Thanks

Factory Amp in 1999 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi

It is Bose equipped, yes. I cant take a picture at the moment, but it has a wiring harness hooked in back of the factory HU like every car has, but it has an extra orange wire with a clip on the end that connects to another spot at the back of the HU. When I cut that clip off, and crimped the...

Factory Amp in 1999 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi

Well the amp has a single orange wire going directly to the factory HU. On the end of that wire is a connector that plugs into the factory HU. We cut that off, and crimped into the Alpine HU. When the speakers didnt work, we crimped that connector back on and plugged it back into the factory...

Hey, I was wondering what I need to do to the factory amp in my car to hook up my head unit. It is an Alpine CDA-9831. I hooked up the head unit, and then the orange wire from the factory amp to the extra orange wire on the head unit, and it powered up and played, but no sound from speakers...

high quality power cable - home depot?!

Wow, Broke, you are talking 100% out of your ass. welding cable works perfectly fine for car audio installation. No one is talking wire for light switches. Who uses 1/0 awg to power light switches? Also, welding is almost always cheaper than car audio wire. Please let me know where a...

COMPLAINT!!! / Also Type X questions

I have installed a 12 Type X, and it sounds very nice and loud in a ported box, but it IS aimed at SQ, and for a 10, a relatively small sealed enclosure is perfect for it. car audio magizine did a review on one a few months ago, and it explains it well. You said you are going for SQ, so the...
