Honestly, take the cap out and sell it. I'm not joking. They dont do much(if in the right conditions) good, and if youre using it to correct any diming problems youre using it for the wrong problems.

14.4 volts is the optimum amount of volts a normal battery runs at it can drop to 12v or lower with no prob.

Ive done it both ways, but just to be on the safe side disconnect the battery.

I was watching i think it was Cars on tv and they did a cobra mustang with a programmer, smaller pulleys a few other things. I think the programmer netted them like 43 hp.
