temepst don't need near that power i have about 350 -400 watts for each one in a box that is 8 cubes and 27 hz it's plenty loud and hits very low. they can't handle 600 watts in an optimal box each unless you are very carefull.... this is the whole point in buying these subs is so that you don't...

i have both amps an alpine and a hifonics 1500 B the hifonics is a fine solid amp for the money. truth about it is the head of the torx screw on my alipine has stripped out on the power ... the torx screws on the hifonics are fine .....

if your put that sub in a 4 cube box and tune it to about 27 hz it will realy knock your socks off trust me.... 4 cubes is a bit big 4 the kind of power your sending to it sealed be real careful like i have said many times i will run my tempest against w7's anytime tell me what you think of...
