I tried out a Reference and it was okay. I returned it for the Perfect and I love it. It is exactly the sound I was looking for. Punchy and tight without a lot of extraneous boom ruining the rest of the music. I highly recommend them. Mike

Thanks for the encouragment, guys. I'm sure I could do it myself(I put in the rest of the system), but I'm extremely busy over the next couple of months, so if I could pay someone to do it I'd have it done a lot sooner. Can anyone venture a guess what an installer would charge? Thanks! Mike

Thanks for your thoughts, guys. I can see how it wouldn't be too much work to power the second amp, but running wires from the HU and then running lines into the doors seems like a PITA. Lots of carpet and dash to deal with. cryhye250r: How much would you normally charge for something like this?

I'm assuming you mean 1200watts. 12000 would be pretty nuts! You don't need a load because you're figuring the impedance and wattage into the equation. The voltage becomes the variable that you are measuring for. Mike
