Its a jbl cs10, I actually have it mounted in between my ski pass as I have convertible I can't hear a box in the boot as the boot is separate from the car, this isn't actually a free air sub but maybe that is why? What is box rise?

I did it! I had the amp lpf at 80hz but I switched it so I had it pass through on the amp and limited it on the head unit and now it is crisp and punchy. I also set the gain with a multimeter which helped too No idea why it wasn't as expected when I had the lpf on the amp as I am guessing it...

I actually can't have it in the boot, firstly in a bmw convertible it takes up the whole trunk which I don't want but the main reason is because the trunk is separated form the actual car you can't hear it when its in there.

Hey guys, My amp said it can do 2x2ohm at 80 rms and it can do 2x4ohm at 65w rms. I have bought some speakers that are 4ohm. My question is do I need to do anything special in the wiring so it knows its 4ohm or does the amp figure that out itself and send the relevant power?
